An exploding firecracker with hot embers scattering in all directions mirrors ideas spewing forth from our brains. Just like each ember starts hot and quickly fades, our fleeting ideas can quickly burn out.
Perhaps a blog seems a fitting place to capture these ideas before they burn out. These ideas can be about everything, so how do we capture such a range of ideas into a website and make it easy to explore?
In searching for website templates to match this goal of exploration, there is not much variety. Staid examples include e-commerce, food, travel, portfolio, blog, personal template styles, but they are very similar to one another. See more at the following links: Squarespace, WIX, and GoDaddy.
These stale designs are sleek and easy to navigate, but it’s hard to find something new in an interactive, user-led way. There is no way to drill down into a rabbit hole of ideas and creation. There is no way to explore ideas latterly. There is no way to visually see the connections of one firecracker idea to the next. This is a limit of today’s website templates.
So how do we transform written form into a website that is more illustrative of seeking further investigation? I would like to see a 3D spacial website where each exploding ember of a firecracker links to a category of an idea space. From there linked ideas to other categories connect through lines that can be navigated and explored on the website where the user leads their own way into the
